samsung t mobile tablet

samsung t mobile tablet

Samsung's mobile VP said they will have to improve parts and the price of its 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab to compete with the iPad 2
“Apple made it very thin (…) We will have to improve the parts that are inadequate,” Lee Don-Joo told Yonhap News Agency.
We feel that a bit of information might have gotten lost in translation from Korean to English, as we definitely don’t expect Samsung to pull the 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab from the market and release a thinner version. It’s more likely that Samsung simply sees the iPad 2’s thinness as a big challenge for its future tablet models.

The other part of Lee Don-Joo’s statement is clearer and far more telling. “The 10-inch (tablet) was to be priced higher than the 7-inch, but we will have to think that over,” he said.

Samsung, unlike some of its competitors — for example, the Motorola Xoom — won’t try to compete with the iPad at a higher price point just because some of the hardware of its tablet looks better on paper and that, in our opinion, is the right approach.

Apple has set the price for its tablet in the $499 — $829 price range (with the cheapest 3G-sporting option being priced at $629), and any Android tablet will have a hard time competing with the iPad 2 at a price too near the upper end of that spectrum.

samsung tmobile

 samsung t mobile
Details are scarce, but tmobile has a new smartphone: the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G, which will operate on a faster, bigger 4G network.
T-Mobile is holding details close to the vest, but it did share a photo with us, which we're sharing with you now. We do know a few other things about it. T-Mobile tells us this Android-powered device is one of its fastest smartphones at 42 mbps. It has a Super AMOLED touch screen and runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 processor with 1.5 gigahertz dual CPUs.
No word yet on pricing or availability.
When that phone becomes available, it will run on a 4G network that T-Mobile says has doubled in speed and added 12 markets, resulting in faster 4G (HSPA+ 42) to 184 million Americans in 175 markets. T-Mobile also expanded its current nationwide 4G (HSPA+ 21) network to nine additional markets, for a total of 217 markets across the country.
T-Mobile also had some updates on its free Bobsled messaging service, an "all-in-one, cloud-based messaging application that allows users to send and receive free individual and group messages with friends and family from any Android-powered smartphone or tablet, and any web connected, browser-enabled device," which is now available on Android Market.

Samsung Captivate Glide

 Samsung Captivate Glide
The Samsung Captivate Glide (SGH-i927) as it's called in the United States, and sold as the Samsung Galaxy S Glide (SGH-i927R) in Canada [2] is the first physical QWERTY[3] Galaxy S class smartphone running under the Android operating system to be released by Samsung for AT&T (US) and Rogers Wireless (Canada).[4][5]
Despite being named for the Captivate, a member of the original Galaxy S line, the Glide is part of the Galaxy S II series of phones. It does, however feature a handful of differences from the flagship Galaxy S II, including a slightly smaller Super AMOLED screen featuring a PenTile matrix like that of the original Galaxy S. It also features an Nvidia Tegra 2 running at 1 GHz, and 8GB of internal storage rather than 16GB.

Samsung Infuse 4G

Don't believe the hype: the Samsung Infuse 4G may be AT&T's first true 4G cell phone, but AT&T doesn't appear to have the network to back up the Infuse's HSPA+ 21 speeds. The Infuse is the first phone we've tested that packs an extra-large, 4.5-inch touch screen. It's also amazingly thin—thinner even than the Samsung Galaxy S 4G ($199, 4 stars) on T-Mobile. Still, a few quibbles here and there add up to a phone that's very good, but not great. It still makes the cut for our list of The Best Phones on AT&T.

samsung galaxy note 2

samsung galaxy note 2
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is an impressive device, but today we’re interested in exposing faults and finding fixes you can use.
Who knew that a hybrid device combining elements of a smartphone and a tablet would prove to be popular with consumers? The original Galaxy Note took the market by surprise and Samsung’s follow up device, the Galaxy Note 2 has raised the stakes by improving on its predecessor in every way. Early signs suggest it will be a hit, but there are always flaws lurking in new mobile tech.
Here we examine the most notable Galaxy Note 2 problems that owners are complaining about and we try to find solutions or handy workarounds.

samsung galaxy ace

 samsung galaxy ace

With a year on the market and multiple price drops / firmware upgrades, we re-test the Samsung Galaxy Ace to see if it can still cut it as a popular smartphone.
Once a bit player on the smartphone scene, famed more for questionable construction than standout handsets, Samsung has turned a corner in recent years, establishing itself as a genuine player on the pocket phone front and producing some of the most desirable handsets on the market.
Following on from the success of the high-end Samsung Galaxy S and Samsung Galaxy S2, the Korean tech behemoth expanded its range of intergalactic-named mobile phones, with the Samsung Galaxy Ace touching down last year as a mid-level handset.
Tasked with raising the expectations of what is possible from a wallet-friendly smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Ace, which also flies under the flag of the Samsung GT-S5830, has since spawned a sub-series of its own, with the Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 officially unveiled ahead of MWC 2012.
Despite being formally unveiled, a Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 release date and price are yet to be confirmed, with the newly improved dual-core handset to touch down later this year.
Watch our hands-on review video of the Ace to see how it compares to the Galaxy S

samsung_corby_pro_b5310

Don’t let the sober looks fool you; Samsung intends mischief with their new Corby PRO B5310 and its non-sliding (but still QWERTY-toting) Corby TXT B3210 sibling.  The company bizarrely decided that the best way to promote the two social-network focussed devices was to give four of them to well-connected Italians and then stage a massive paint fight.  No, we don’t quite understand it either, but you can see the video after the cut.
The Samsung Corby PRO B5310 has a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 3-megapixel camera and 900/2100 HSDPA.  There’s also WiFi, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headphones jack and a microSD card slot.  As for the Samsung Corby TXT B3210, that has a 2.2-inch non-touchscreen display, 2.-megapixel camera, EDGE data and Bluetooth.
Both have interchangeable “fashion jackets”, threaded SMS conversations, straightforward access to Facebook and MySpace, and a mediaplayer.  The Corby TXT will land in Europe this month, while the Corby PRO will arrive in Europe come November before spreading to other markets.

Samsung Galaxy S3 mini: 4 alternative handsets

Samsung Galaxy S3 mini: 4 alternative handsets

The closing paragraph of our review on the Samsung Galaxy S3 mini says it all. “By emulating the fabulous Galaxy S3 in design terms, Samsung may have shot itself in the foot. The handset looks like it should be a smaller version of a great phone, but in fact it is cut down not just in size and that’s bound to disappoint many people.”
Samsung didn’t have to try hard to get things seemingly right. After all, it borrowed many features from the award winning Galaxy S3 including its name. So where did it all go wrong? Well the phone is expensive at around £280 SIM Free (or £15.50 on a pay monthly plan) and has some shockingly mainstream components, so much so that we’ve found it fairly easy to come up with a list of alternative handsets to the S3 mini. Note that some of them are on PAYG but can be unlocked for a small fee.
